The Market Code, and accompanying Code Subsidiary Documents (CSDs), set out the rules to be followed by all the participants in the new retail market. In particular they cover:
- The obligations on, and standards expected of, market participants
- The processes that govern how non-household customers switch from one retailer to another
- The processes that govern how wholesale charges owed by each retailer are calculated
The Operational Code sets out the processes for dealing with day-to-day operational matters. The Operational Code is managed by Scottish Water through the Technical Panel, and is available on Scottish Water’s website.
